Not found in Wingfield’s 3rd Louisiana Cavalry.

Residence was not listed;
Enlisted as a Private (date unknown).
He also had service in:
"C" Co. LA 9th Infantry

Pearce for one year, admitted CSA General Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. July 22, 1862, Remit Fever, returned to duty August 8, 1862, recorded as in Trans. Miss. Dept. without leave, 1863, last recorded on the Jan/Feb, 1864 muster roll as absent, on furlough of indulgence, last paid December 31, 1863, description on enlistment: married, 22 year old Farmer, born in S. Carolina, resident of Sparta, La., no further records

Note, he must have been dropped from the rolls on the missing Mar/Apr, 1864 muster roll as his presence is not stated on the subsequent muster held for the period May 1 to Aug. 31, 1864, dated November 2, 1864
