In Response To: captain joseph hebert ()

Captain Joseph Hebert’s record of one card notes that he was appointed June 4, 1862 and dropped November 2, 1864, S. O. 11, ’65

Four other officers of the Battalion are also recorded as having been dropped the same date with the same notation.

It is possible that the correspondence noted in Lt. Broussard’s file may contain what this Special Order was all about.

Numa Miguez, 3rd Lt., Co. F, 10th Battalion, Yellow Jacket, La., was also dropped on this same date. His records contain a Card: Subject: S. O. 275/20 Confirmed,
Special Order Number 11/22, dated Jan. 14, 1865.

P. M. Broussard, 2nd Lt., Co. A, dropped Nov. 2, 1864
An Oct. 20/30, 1864 letter to Gen. S. Cooper, A. & I, Gen’l. CSA, along with endorsements, is in his file which might explain why these officers were dropped Nov. 4, 1864. Unable to read on-line

Theogene Castille, 1st, Lt., Co. G, dropped Nov. 2, 1864
