I failed to mention all of his letters were written on July 5, 1862 from Camp Chase. And on July 11, 1862 Ernest Robin again tried to use salt water between the lines to his father in New Orleans, Louisiana. And again the letter was censored and not delivered. The citation for this last letter was [790]

It is unclear as to what happened to these censored letters. From looking over the material in general it appears the letters were not destroyed. There are references in other censored letters referring to lice first appearing at Camp Chase on July 7, 1862 in post war references as an example. They may or may not be in the holdings of the Virginia Historical Society, in Richmond, Virginia.
