Col. Jesse M. Williams was a first cousin to my great-great grandfather John Williams. Jesse was home in Louisiana on leave after being wounded at Sharpsburg. John Williams enlisted as a Pvt in Co. D 2nd Louisiana Infantry at Mansfield, Louisiana on February 10, 1863, about the time Col. Jesse went back to duty. I can find nothing about John after that. Can anyone help me with this?
