Which photo of the breastplate do you allude to. Jones, my ancestor, found a pair of steel breastplates and wore them beneath his blouse. ---- he felt a hard blow. A minie ball had struck the edge of one plate where it overlapped the other, bending it before glancing to strike the other plate and making a dent a half inch deep.
