Thanks for the information; that's not the man I'm searching for. Since Theodore A. Perdue did get married in Union County, Louisiana in 1855, I was thinking of going there to search local records. Where would one go to get the detailed military (as you have given) as well as civil records on people from the 1800's?

I do appreciate the quick response and any direction you could point me in this search.
