Assistance requested

I have a copy of my great Grandmother's Widow's Applications For Pension. ( Civil War) It states that my great Grandfather, Aaron Herring (d. Dec 29, 1897) Co. I, 6th Regiment, La Calvary was buried at Rapides Campground Cemetery LA-NN-14 near Boyce, La. His brother, Stephen Herring, along with nephews and cousins are also buried there.

Other than my great Grandmother's statement on the application, my great Grandfther has no headstone and there is no record of location for his grave there. Naturally, I would like him to have one and see that he is honored. I have searched for any information to follow through with this but have not been successful.

Anyone have a suggestion or recommendation?

Thank you,

Mary Jones
