Hello,
I'm the author of "Madame Vieux Carre, The French Quarter in The Twentieth Century (University Press of Mississippi, 2009). My current project is a history of the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood of New Orleans. In researching the effects of secession, war and occupation on the neighborhood, I am looking for a list of New Orleanians who took the Oath of Allegiance to the Union.
I've looked at NARA and performed various web searches, also looked at bibliographies of a few books dealing with that era. If anyone knows of the location of such a list it would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
