My GG Grandfather, James Ware, was admitted to a confederate hospital at New Iberia, Louisiana around 1863. After he recovered from his illness, he was assigned to the 6th LA Cav. Can anyone give me some background information on the hospital? Where was it located in the area around New Iberia?
