The Regt was engaged in the seven days fighting before Richmond commencing 26 of June. After which it was ordered to Gordonsville & assigned to Genl Jackson’s division, was engaged at the battle of “Cedar Run” Aug 9 was with the division that left the Rappahanock in Augt and marched to Manassas & destroyed the depot & also a large train of cars with immense quantity of stores belonging to the enemy on the 27th of Aug - was engaged in the battles of Manasas Aug 29th & 30th in the latter getting out of ammunition some of the men used stones to keep the enemy back was in the battle near Fairfax
C. H. Sept 1st Marched with the Army into Maryland in Sept. Thence to Harper’s Ferry & was present at the surrender of the same Sept 15 Was marched thence to Sharpsburg on 16th & participated in the battle of the 17th at that place From there was marched and located at Bunker Hill. Was part of the expedition that destroyed the Balt. & Ohio R. R. near Martinsburgh about the 20 of Oct 1862.”
