1862 Co D, 28 Louisiana Infantry @ Franklin, MS

Looking for the burial of Confederate Sergt. John Lee Tippet, jr of Company D, 28th Louisiana Infantry who fell at Franklin, (Louisiana?):
_______________
"Company D, Twenty-eighth Louisiana Infantry, was organized in May, 1862. John L. Tippet held the rank of sergeant.

On May 15 the Company was mustered in at Monroe, then moved to camp near Vienna, and thence into the Mississippi bottoms.

Later the Twenty-eighth was sent into the Teche country, and there, at Franklin, encountered the Federal troops. Sergt. Tippet was killed there, and a number of private soldiers fell.

Lieut. Simmons was killed at Yellow Bayou, and the command lost a small number at Mansfield and Pleasant Hill."
_______________
When I looked-up Teche Country - it states it is the Corridor into Louisiana's Cajun Country, so I assume Franklin is in Louisiana, not Mississippi?

The summary used to be posted at
ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/la/claiborne/history/parish/claibhis.txt
but the URL is nolonger valid.

Hoping to locate a burial site or grave marker.

Thanks for any help,
Mark
