This coming Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 6 PM, the Civil War Round Table of Central Louisiana hosts a talk by Dr. Alecia Long of LSU. The meeting will be held at the Granberry Center on the campus of Louisiana College in Pineville. Her subject will be "(Mis)Remebering General Order Number 28" This is, of course, the notorious order issued by General Benjamin Butler in the occupied city of New Orleans.
