Have you ever talked to your local senator about this? Around these parts where I live anytime an election is coming around it seems to be a good time to contact your local officials. I bet if you could get your Senator involved some of that red tape may disappear. Meanwhile prayers will go up on behlf of getting your great-grandfather's date of death cleared up.
