Back in the 70s and 80s, there used to be a historical marker west on Clinton on Hwy 10, where Hwy 955 turns off. It has been "missing" for several years. If I recall right, it was about the skirmish when Col Powers and others were playing cards and were surprised by Union cavalry.
Does anyone else else remember the marker? Or know of it's faith?
