Thanks. I had most of that information but any nugget is worth persuing. The pictures of my great-grandfather were destroyed in a fire and any copies were destroyed in Katrina. My grandfater when he was alive only said his father fought in the Civil War. The surname "Breaux" has about 10 spelling variations.
