Congratulations, Jim. I know finding something like that sort of gives you closure. One of the regrets I had for many years was never having a photo of my g-g-grandfather Elisha Jones, a member of the 28th Louisiana who was badly wounded in the hand at Mansfield. His son, my g-g-uncle, was my next door neighbor growing up in Winn Parish and he told us a few stories about him. Then several years ago I was invited to give a talk on the 28th to a group in Winnfield and when I walked into the room there was a large portrait of a man with his wife set up near the podium. It was Elisha and his second wife! One of the ladies there was also a descendant and brought it to show me. What was sort of weird was everyone said what a strong resemblance there was between me and Elisha. I now have a copy of the portrait hanging on my wall
