Unless I missed it being mentioned already, you should also look at the records for, Doumenge, Ovid B, in Co G (St Mary's Volunteers) of the 13th Louisiana Infantry. This soldier enlisted in June '61 by a Lt King and was given a medical discharge in Nov of 62. He enrolled at Wax Bayou (Ft Berwick). There are 13 cards in this CMSR. Could be he recovered from his illness and re-enlisted with one of the other units mentioned later?
