Looking for information on James M McDonald who fought in the Civil War in Shiloh, Vicksburg, Mansfield and Pleasant Hill. I believe he was born in Tx but could have been born in other state. He died in Shreveport, La. in 1917. He was a member of the Cresent Regiment with Gen Beaureguard and was with Capt Fields when he was wounded; all the info I have on the war. I believe he was also with the Texas 17th Regiment Infantry (Allen's)
