Incident in NW GA Involving LA Command Nov 1864

Seeking info on incident involving 2LT William H. McMillan of Clinch's regiment, 4th GA Cavalry who was shot in the back and killed, purportedly by a drunken LT named Webb from a Louisiana command, near “Boughton” (probably Bowdon in Carroll County) GA on 4 November 1864 at a “grog shop” after a verbal exchange between one of the 4th GA’s company commanders and the Louisianan over the captain having ordered some of the 4th GA’s men away from the establishment.

Specifically, I hope to ID the LA officer involved and establish the outcome WRT subsequent court-martial and punishment, if any.
