I'm looking for any information about a group of cavalry members called Wilson's Rangers. Grorge Devol in his book "40 Years a Gambler on the Mississippi," talked about a group of gamblers who joined a cavalry unit in New Orleans in 1862 called Wilson's Rangers. He gave no number of the unit and when Union Gen. Bulter arrived in New Orleans in the Spring of 62 the unit disbanded.
