Re: Not Related to Governor Moore

John, I don't mean to hijack this thread but I need to share some info with you. My mother's father was named Edwin Fowler (1905-1932). He was the son of Calvin Fowler, 1862-1935 snd Isabell Fowler. Calvin Fowler and his wife Isabell were both from Canada. Edwin Fowler was killed when a tractor flipped over on him out at Latagnier next to what I would call the Holsomback home.

Edwin Fowler's wife, Mollie Cheek, remarried of course. Some years later her home burned and she lost everything. I don't even have a picture of Grandfather Edwin Fowler. He is buried at Paul Cemetery near LeCompte and his grave as well as those of his parents had those permanent pictures on the headstones but somebody took them.

Anyway, back on topic... There are other Fowler's buried at Paul Cemetery who were from Alabama and served in the Confederate service. In Particular, William Anderson Oliver Fowler of the 17th Alabama Infantry. My question therefore is this.

Is there any connection that you are aware of between my Fowler line and the Fowler line from Alabama buried at Paul cemetery. Also, I have no contact whatsoever with any Fowler relatives. It would mean a lot to me to discover we may be kin.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
