Anybody know anything about the social fabric of Cotton Valley, Louisiana, during the Civil War era. A set of letters I am editing are all addressed to a soldier's wife in Cotton Valley who is staying with friends or relatives from Georgia during the course of the war.
I think one of the key players up there is a school teacher. Anyone on this message board have any connections or research on the details of this Louisiana town during the war?
