The bridge seems to have been located near the present day US Highway 71 bridge over the bayou. To my knowledge, there have never been any historical markers placed to commemorate any of the skirmishes in that vicinity (and I grew up in that part of Rapides Parish). Certainly no museum has ever had exhibits about these actions. The possibilities for units serving under Vincent would be the 2nd Louisiana, 26th Texas, and Terrell's Texas Cavalry regiments. The 35th and 36th Texas Cavalry regiments were involved in some of the actions around Bayou Lamourie on May 6 and 7.
