Location of Lamourie Bridge

From Confederate William T. Mechling's Journal, edited by Alwyn Barr in the Fall 1963 Vol I No 4 Issue of TEXANA pages 377-8

Thursday May 5, 1864 "...-The Enemy approached in columns of Infantry and Cavalry, who were received in fine Style by our Arty evidently Surprising them very much, driving them back in much confusion, capturing one flag and Some wounded--Col Vincent charged with 3 regts of cav from the La Mourri driving the Enemy back to Gov Moore's Plantation, capturing Several horses equiptment. Held the position for the night-"

I am curious to know where the site of the Lamourie Bridge was located and if there is any historical marker, monument, or museum nearby.

Does anyone know the names of the 3 regiments of cavalry with Col Vincent's 2nd Louisiana Cavalry Regt.in the charge?

Does anyone know the Union group which lost its flag?

Are there any other Confederate accounts of the action during the early days of May 1864 in this general location other than the OR's?

Any help is much appreciated. I hope to visit this site with my family as our ancestor served in Likens' 35th Texas Cavalry in this area and I am researching for a unit history.
