Louisiana 19th Infantry Regiment

My third Great Grandfather Daniel R. Henderson was born in 1815 in South Carolina. He lived in Conecuh County Alabama from about 1822 untill he enlisted in the Louisiana 19th Infantry Regiment Company C on November 11th 1862 at Pollard Alabama. From the information that I have the La. 19th was stationed at Pollard Ala. in defense of the Gulf Port of Mobile Alabama. The last information that I have On Daniel is that he recieved a flesh wound
to the right hip at the Battle of Chickamauga September 20th and was transported to Saint Mary's Hospital in LaGrange,Troup County,Georgia. He died on October 9th and is buried at the Old Confederate Cemetery at LaGrange.
Company C was part of John Cabell Breckinridge's Division. At Chickamauga Company C was led by Brigadier General Daniel Weisiger Adams (was wounded and captured by the Illinois 19th on 20th September 1863).If anyone has more information on Daniel R. Henderson or Saint Mary's hospital, photo's diaries,or anything that would help me learn
more about my 3rd Great Grandfather I would be forever greatful.
