Playing on the computer and found this hospital. It is/was located in Gordonsville, Va., north and west of Richmond. Va. According to the web site information ( http://ead.lib.virginia.edu/vivaead/published/uva-sc/viu00811.document ) from Louisiana were men from these regiments - 2nd Louisiana Infantry; 5th Louisiana Infantry; 6th Louisiana Infantry; 8th Louisiana Infantry; 9th Louisiana Infantry; 10th Louisiana Infantry; 1st Louisiana Cavalry; 3rd Louisiana Cavalry; 15th Louisiana Cavalry. Assuming it is not a typo or someone wrote it down wrong, there were no Louisiana cavalry units in Virginia, correct? Do not think they would transfer these soldiers from the western theater here to recover. Any ideas?? My thinking it was written down wrong, right?
