Want to thank you, Hugh, for the information about the prisoner exchange policies in 1864. I did not have this information.

Now let me fill you in on what happened to Winnburn Chafin and William H Oliver. Being good friends , they both made it back to Evergreen, Louisiana safely. Winnburns Son, Reese Isaiah, and Williams Daughter Clara Toon Married and Settled in Lake Charles Louisiana, there becoming My Grand parents. Just a side note, however I am glad the veterans made it home. Jerrel chafin
