John Lascelles Nowell Logan

Seeking information on John Lascelles Nowell Logan, b. Charleston S.C. 16 Apr 1839; d. New Orleans 5 Dec 1927; living New Orleans at outbreak of war; He enlisted in B/1 LA Special BN (Rightor's) 15 Apr 1861; last shwon as sick t Gloucester Point, Va Dec 61; reenl in Fenner's Battery at Jackson, Miss 16 May 1862; last present Dec 1863. He was appointed as CAPT/ACS 13 Jan 1865, and assigned as Commissary Officer of the Hampton Legion Mounted Infantry in the Army of Northern Virginia, of which his half-nephew, Thomas M. Logan (who was actually younger than J. L. N. Logan) was colonel. T. M. Logan was promoted to brigadier shortly after that; I do not know know if he accompanied his nephew when he went to assume command of a cavalry brigade in the Army of Tennessee. J. L. N> Logan was paroled at Meirdian on 10 May 65.

Interested in education, place of burial, and his career postwar. Any help appreciated.
