You may want to look at this web site, http://www.lascv.com/b75.htm . It lists Richard Stakes and several Starks as shoemakers. The Starks are in the Consolidated Crescent which has been mentioned earlier as being formed partly by the 16th bat. One word of caution the 16th is often referred to as the 12th battalion. I believe the last name was confused by Stakes because the first commander of Co B was George Macmurdo and secondly by Arthur W. Hyatt. Hyatt could be the last name you mentioned with some other word tacked to the end. Hyatt went on to command the Consolidated Crescent near the end of the war.
