Re: Capt. John M. Grandberry -- 20th GA Regt

To further clarify:

Captain John M. Grandberry of Harris County, Georgia and John Grandberry of St. Landry Parish, Louisiana are 2 different individuals as shown by the 1860 census records below.

Apparently, John Grandberry of St. Landry Parish has been confused with Captain John M. Grandberry of Georgia.

If John Grandberry of St. Landry Parish was indeed a Confederate soldier, there is no formal military record of him that still exists.

The only Grandberry from Louisiana with a military service record is Private Jesse D. Granberry who served in the Madison Light Artillery, Captain Moody's Company.
