The Franklin Sharpshooters were Company E, 8th louisiana infantry regiment
The Franklin Life Guards were Company C, 4th Louisiana Infantry Battalion.
Took a look at my book on the 4th, the only Lt Colonels in the Battalion where -John McEnery and Francis C Zacharie. Perhaps this could be someone in the 4th Louisiana Infantry Regiment?
