The Louisiana in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Did La. papers print vet's reminisences?

Two of my gg uncles died in the Civil War. They were privates from Company F; James M. Davis at
Millikens Bend Louisiana and Jesse M. Davis at Young's Point Louisiana. Another brother William
Henry Davis also, from Company F was discharged at Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The fourth brother my
gg grandfather John L. Davis (Company F) died of malaria after returning to their home in Whitley County, Kentucky after being in the battle at Vicksburg. How do I find
the cemetery for James and Jesse and any other information like the newspaper printing
information about them?
Thanks,
Ruth
