My great uncle, Paul Hodges, who's now deceased, also speculated that James Robert might have been held as a POW in Chattanooga until June '65 when he signed his repatriation oath. Paul also apparently found documentation that JR Hodges was re-enlisted in Memphis in August 1862 (his first enlistment was for 12 mos) by Forrest into his Co. C, 2nd Reg., KY Cavalry. Maybe that's your second entry? His 2 younger brothers, William Wisehart Hodges and Cajabiel Worth Hodges, also joined the Kentucky Cavalry but not sure what units they were in.
