Re: Louisville Confederate Monument moving to Bran

The monument has been disassembled, prior to moving it to Brandenburg (scheduled for the end of November, but there may be a slight delay while the city of Brandenburg finishes the site for the monument).

As expected, a time capsule was found, which period reports said contained a cigar butt that Jeff Davis had lit, newspapers, photos, Confederate money, and other memorabilia. Unfortunately, water has severely damaged all of these materials, so that they had disintegrated and formed a muddy sludge at the bottom of the time capsule box. It is unknown at this time whether any of these items can be restored.
