Strange to find my name on the web connected to the Civil War. I have no middle name and the only Corbins I have ever met were members of my dads family. He was an only son as was his dad and I have no sons so this line of Corbin's dies with me. Its obvious we don't reproduce at a very fast pace. When we moved to Birmingham in !949, there was only one listing for the name Corbin in the local phone book and it was for a lady. Today there are 10 listed. So --- in 66 years we have only reproduced our number by nine.

I guess its possible I was named after the leader of Corbin's men. Or maybe I am a direct descendant? Its not important. I have no interest in tracing my ancestry.
