Kentucky Cavalry Organizations

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am looking for primary source material (i.e. letters, diaries, journals, reminiscences, newspaper articles, and other postbellum soldier accounts) for the following Confederate organizations for the time period of September 22 - October 30, 1863:

Regiments of Colonel George Baird Hodge's Brigade, no relation to myself.
2nd (Johnson's) Battalion Kentucky Mounted Rifles
3rd (Clay's) Battalion Kentucky Mounted Rifles
McAfee's Battalion Kentucky Mounted Rifles

The remnants of John Hunt Morgan's division that were formed into two battalions in August 1863 and that fought with the Army of Tennessee at Chickamauga and Wheeler's Raid into the Sequatchie Valley and Middle Tennessee. One battalion was commanded by Captain Kirkpatrick and the other by Captain Dortch.

2nd Kentucky Cavalry Regiment (CS), Frank Armstrong's Brigade.
3rd Kentucky Cavalry Regiment (CS), Col. Thomas Harrison's Brigade.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Respectfully,

Gerald D. Hodge, Jr.
