Pope's and Duncan's Kentucky Battalions

I am looking for information on the two subject battalions. In May of 1861 they were at Harper's Ferry, Va., and around 17 June 1861 were assigned to Francis S. Bartow's Brigade. They served, I believe, until around 6 August 1861. Somewhere around that time the battalions disappear and the 1st Kentucky Regiment, under Col. Thomas H. Taylor, was assigned to Bartow's Brigade in their place. Were the battalions consolidated or just 90-day troops and the 1st Kentucky Regiment an entirely (or mostly) new troops?

I am looking for any and all information and source documentation pertaining to the three organizations and their service with the brigade. I can be reached by e-mail at hpersons@msn.com or 410-969-2547.

Thanks.
