I am looking for information on Union Col. Sanders Bruce who was originally from Lexington, KY. He helped raise the 20th Ky Inf and commanded the 22nd KY Bde Inf under Gen. Nelson. He was commander at Clarksville, TN from Dec 1862 to Jan 1864 when he was reassigned to command at Louisville, KY. I am interested in any specific information on his military career and the answer to two questions. 1. Why did he divorce his first wife Isabelle Combs, and what happened to her after the divorce. 2. Specifically what caused his falling out with his brother-in-law John Hunt Morgan before the war started. I would greatly appreciate any information.
