Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of Daniel Hadgens (also spelled Hodgens), who served as a corporal in Company F of the 108th U.S. Colored Infantry during the Civil War. He enlisted at Louisville, Kentucky, in June 1864 and is noted as a bartender and house servant. Any and all help appreciated, especially his life dates.
