Alfred Jackson, 108th USCT
Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of Alfred Jackson, who served as a sergeant in Company F of the 108th U.S. Colored Infantry during the Civil War. Jackson is reported to have been a free man in Kentucky who worked as a teamster for the U.S. army prior to his enlistment in 1864. Annie Thompson filed for a widow's pension in his name in 1894. Any and all help appreciated.
