Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of James Roberts, who served as a drummer with the rank of private in Company F of the 108th U.S. Colored Infantry. He was reportedly a free man at the time of his enlistment in June 1864. Any and all help appreciated.
