I have been doing some genealogical research and I have come up with a question on Joseph Beck and his son Joseph Lewis Beck. On the elder Joseph, he married my three greats grandfather James Rector's sister Elizabeth and was killed in Aug. 1862. Can anyone direct me to any information on his service from Wayne county, Union side, and his death possibly by Ferguson's Guerrillas. I have found were his son, Joseph Lewis, was hounded by the guerrillas after his father's death and after a narrow escape joined a Union unit for the duration. Joseph Lewis was about 16, and I am also looking for information on the unit he served with. Thanks for any information you can provide.
