I found two D. F. Rogers in Kentucky units. It's possible that D. F. of the 3rd Mounted Infantry may have reupped with the 3rd Cavalry after recovering from his illness. These are two separate outfits serving in different areas.

The only records on Drury are Federal POW records, there are no company muster reports in his file.

On 7/23/1862 he mustered into "C" Co. KY 3rd [Mounted] Infantry

enlisted July 23, 1862 at Vicksburg, Mississippi, wounded in ankle at the Battle of Baton Rouge, Louisiana August 5, 1862, recorded sick in hospital from May 25, through June 1864, no further records
