Fulton County Kentucky

My families of Chambers and Olivers lived near the Tennessee/Kentucky state line area, just north of Union City, TN. Seems like they lived on the Kentucky side, south of Cayce, KY, but, they are sometimes mentioned in reference to Tennessee. For example, my great uncle, Martin Poyner Chambers, enlisted in the 33rd Tennessee Infantry (Confederate), formed in Union City. His brother, Hardy Diggs Chambers, was initially in the 12th Kentucky Cavalry (Confederate), transferring to the 7th Tennessee Cavalry toward the end of the war. Any history about Fulton County Kentucky - largest towns, Fulton and Hickman (county seat) is needed.

These Chambers are mostly buried in the Liberty Cemetery, across the Section Line Road from the Liberty Baptist Church, and the Olivers (Great Grandfather Allen) are buried on up (north) from the Liberty cemetary, in the small Ebenezer Cemetery. I do not know if any of the Olivers were in the Civil War or not.

I just found a book on Amazon.com about Fulton County. It is a new, paperback reprint - author unknown. There was one copy and I ordered it. I hope that it is one of those lost "gems" that is sometimes found.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. David A. Oliver
