Knowing very little of the "Miss. Unionists", I do know a tad of the N.E. interests that paid bounty to immigrants to move to Kansas to vote "Union".
Many of these people did not even know English.
But managed to turn an election.
Ya'll bring up a name of a senator, I will do so also, Senator Lane, along with the animal Jennison, both were "hell on earth" in Missouri.
I do not pretent to stand for slavery, an insidious institution, but the right of a people of that state to guide their own course is at question.
They would of died with the Confederacy , as they should of.
But were usurped by outside forces not of their making.
A man could not even claim neutrality w/o being gunned down and his property "Fired"!!!!
