Enlisted on 3/21/1862 as a Private.

On 3/21/1862 he mustered into "E" Co. MA 29th Infantry
He was discharged for promotion on 11/28/1863

On 12/31/1863 he mustered into Field & Staff KY 47th Infantry
He was discharged for promotion on 9/21/1864

On 9/21/1864 he was commissioned into "A" Co. US CT 120th Infantry
He was transferred out on 8/16/1865

On 8/16/1865 he transferred into US CT 6th Cavalry
He was dismissed on 11/3/1865

Promotions:
* Hospital Steward 12/31/1863 (As of 47th KY Inf)
* Capt 9/21/1864 (As of Co. A 120th UC Inf)
