Looking for information on James R. Temple, born in 1839 in Bowling Green, KY. Orphaned by 1842, educated in MS and returned to KY to
teach school. Enlisted in Co. J. 59th OH Infantry and became a 1st Lt. After the War returned to teaching and entered medical school at Louisville. Practiced medicine in Spencer Co., IN. Moved to Brooksville, Hernando Co., FL in 1881 and afterwards in 1897 to Memphis, Hall Co., TX. According to the Directory of Deceased Physicians (1804-1929), Vol II, he died on 12/31/1929. Looking for an identification of his picture among the collage of Blue and Gray Association formed in Brooksville, Hernando Co., FL between 1881-1897. Location of picture to follow.
