In my research and writing on the Stone's River Campaign, I am currently working on Volume II, Army of Tennesse. At present, I am examining the charge by Breckinridge's division on 2 January. If anyone could provide the stength of the 9th Kentucky Inafntry at the time of the battle, it would certainly help clarify an issue that I am attempting to resolve; namely, Bragg stating that Breckinridge in his report underrated the size of his force by one fourth. As the 9th Kentucky did not participate in the charge, its effective strength should be deducted from the attacking force. So, if anyone can provide the regiment's strength I would be most appreciative. Please provide the source of your information.

Any information on the 9th Kentucky Infantry at Murfreesboro will be welcomed. I am particularly interested accounts from letters, diaries, etc.
