Hi Greg, yes after I posted this question here, I thought "try Tennessee" and maybe a Shiloh park employee might notice it.

Today I thought of something else.. one of the papers in Jenks' slim military file at NARA called him "Samuel W Jones" in reporting him killed at Shiloh. I wonder if the ROH has him listed as "Jones" by mistake?

Diaries or letters would be great if I could find them, I would be very interested.
