I have port of Dr. J.F.Rodgers, 11th Ky Cav (U.S.)

Hello all,
In my last post I had a question as to a part of the uniform of my great grandfather Dr. John Fleming Rodgers, Surgeon with the 11th Ky Cavalry (U.S.) that he is wearing in a portrait I had done of him in his dress uniform. I forgot to add in the post that if anyone, a student of Ky units, the 11th Ky Cav, etc., is interested in that pic I will be glad to send you a copy of it. The portrait was done by taking his face from a photo from those days in civilian clothes (a tux it looks like) and putting his face in uniform. I provided pics of the uniform, equipment, arms, insignia, etc., of a major or surgeon on the regimental medical staff. The artist put all this together into a portrait. It turned out great in my opinion.

Actually I would love the opinion of it from some of you guys knowledgable on what a regimental surgeon might have looked like in the CW.

Let me know if anyone is interested or if you know of a website pertaining to the CW that might like a copy of it, let me know. My e-mail is k98@elmore.rr.com.
Take care,
